I thought about the thrill and desire to change out the decor in your home based on the season.
With all the hype on Pinterest and Instagram feeds throwing up season decor changes, it can make you feel less than if you don’t keep up.
First, I give you permission to RELEASE the “IG Pinterest perfect home decor guilt”
Second, if you are really into decor and
- Still aren’t convinced that you should replace your pretty FART (fake wall art) with your favorite humans
- Took my advice, but still looking to include some seasonal change…
I have some suggestions!
It’s no secret that every photographer has sessions all year long, Summer, Fall, Christmas, Easter and everything between. But what do you do with all those photos? How can you display them without them feeling out of place?
When changing over your decor for the season, keep in mind you can have specially themed and edited photos to go along with that season.
Beach Photos for Summer
Fall Photos outside with some cozy sweaters & fall tones
Christmas Photos (think beyond the holiday card)
Spring Photos outside in a garden type setting, think light and bright with pastels!
You’re already spending the time changing over everything from “salty kisses” to pumpkins & plaid everything, why not step up your game a just replace some of the photos to match!
Around halloween my mom has halloween frames that hold photos of when we were younger in our costumes. At Christmas she exchanges mantle frames for Christmas themed ones with her favorite family Christmas photos.
Think about the giant family photo above your couch, simply changing that out every season! How fun and exciting it is for a little change but still fueling your love for decor! This sparks a memory, conversation and breathes new life into your home.
