From the moment I met Samantha I knew her wedding at Hidden Acres would be just like her and Brandon; laid back, rustic, beautiful and a real tribute to southern livin’. I was honored to share their special day with them.
I was shocked when I pulled up to Hidden Acres, a venue I had never seen. The first thing I saw was a beautiful rustic church and gorgeous cabins. Sam’s Jimmy Choo’s shortly got swapped out for her new cowgirl boots.
The boys were as country as country gets; shotgun shell boutonnieres, southern drawls and a beer in every hand. Every detail seemed effortlessly thought out; the decor, the little wood utensils (HOW COOL?) and the serious southern comfort food (I could have lived off the mac and cheese).
Take a look at their wedding day at Hidden Acres in Marion SC.
Drake, the most important part of the whole day in my opinion, Sorry Sam, I have soft spot for dogs. Drake, the golden doodle walked…well, drug Sam down the aisle and even made an appearance at the reception. Hidden Acres is famous for their outdoor bed swing which is perfect for photo ops. Drake decided it would be easier to just get up in the bed for pictures. Sitting in front of it was not an option.
Sam and Brandon’s wedding day ended with my first sparkler exit, I think it went well! I was scared to catch on fire, but the slightly inebriated crowd handled the sparklers like pros. Also there were a couple of local firefighters in the mix thats supposed to make you feel safer right?
